गोरक्षनाथ- राजकीय-संस्कृत-महाविद्यालय-नाहनं संस्कृताध्ययनदृष्ट्या हिमाचलप्रदेशस्य प्रतिष्ठितेषु शैक्षणिक-संस्थानेष्वन्यतमः महाविद्यालयः वर्त्तते। अस्य महाविद्यालयस्य प्रारम्भः हिमाचलप्रदेशस्य सिरमौरजनपदस्य नाहनस्थे सुप्रसिद्धे कालिस्थान-मन्दिरे महन्त-श्रीमौक्तिकनाथ-राजगुरुणा वेदशास्त्राणाम् अध्ययननिमित्तं कृतः। अस्य महाविद्यालयस्य स्थापना 1996 तमे विक्रमाब्दे (1940 ख्रिष्टाब्दे) अभवत्। 2022 विक्रमाब्दे (1965 तमे ख्रिष्टाब्दे) हिमाचलप्रदेश-सर्वकारेण संस्कृतस्य प्रचार-प्रसाराय राजकीय-संस्कृत-महाविद्यालय नाम्ना अस्य अधिग्रहणं कृतम्। हिमाचलप्रदेश-विश्वविद्यालय- सम्बद्धः अयं महाविद्यालयः, विश्वविद्यालय- अनुदान-आयोग-दिल्लीतः मान्यतां प्राप्य संस्कृतस्य क्षेत्रे महत्त्वपूर्णं दायित्वं निर्वहति। अस्मिन्महाविद्यालये शास्त्रि-विशिष्टशास्त्री इत्यनयोः उपाध्योः कृते अध्यापनं कार्यते। महाविद्यालये अस्मिन् बालकबालिकानां कृते पृथक्-पृथक् छात्रावास-द्वयं वर्त्तते। प्रतिवर्षं छात्राणां वर्धमानायाः संख्यायाः कारणेन बालिकानां कृते निर्मितस्य छात्रावास-भवनस्य प्रयोगः अस्थायिरूपेण अध्यापनार्थं प्रचलति। एतदतिरिक्तम् अस्य भवनं, सविशालसभागारं, छात्राणां व्यक्तित्वविकास-गतिविधीनां कृते पर्याप्तस्थानयुक्तं वर्त्तते।

लब्धप्रतिष्ठोऽयं महाविद्यालयः भारतस्य उत्तरे भागे विद्यमानासु संस्कृतसंस्थासु अन्यतमः अग्रगण्यश्च अस्ति। सुसमृद्धः पुस्तकालयः सुयोग्याः शिक्षकाः अनुशासितं शैक्षणिकं वातावरणं च अस्य महाविद्यालयस्य वैशिष्ट्यानि।

Gorakshnath: Nahan State Sanskrit College is one of the most prestigious educational institutions in Himachal Pradesh in terms of Sanskrit studies. This college was started by Mahant Shri Mauktikanath Rajaguru at the well-known Kalisthan temple at Nahan in Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh for the study of Vedic scriptures. The college was established in 1996 (1940 AD). In 2022 Vikram Abd (1965 AD) the Government of Himachal Pradesh acquired it as the State Sanskrit College for the promotion of Sanskrit. This college, affiliated to the University of Himachal Pradesh, is accredited by the University Grants Commission, Delhi and plays an important role in the field of Sanskrit. The college offers teaching for both the degrees of Shastri and Prak Shastri. The college has two separate dormitories for boys and girls. Due to the increasing number of students every year, the hostel-building for girls is being used for teaching on a temporary basis. In addition, its building, with its spacious auditorium, has ample space for students' personality development activities.
